introduces new clinic operation in Parsons
Elkins Physical Therapy Service is set to bring in the new year with the opening of a new clinic operation in Parsons, WV, beginning January 6, 2020. The clinic is to be located within the Wellness 24 Fitness Center at 215 Pennsylvania Avenue. The clinic will operate a regular schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8 am and 5 pm. Staffing the clinic are Chris Davis, PTA and Matthew Lee, PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS.
Elkins Physical Therapy Service expands its tradition of quality patient centered outpatient physical therapy to Tucker County with the hopes of increasing opportunities for our patients to access local care more conveniently. The company is hopeful to expand the Parsons clinic operations to 4-5 days weekly in the coming year.
Elkins Physical Therapy Service is a trade name for Elkins Physical Therapy Service, Inc.
The company is a family owned and locally grown operation. The new corporation is rooted in the footprint of David Lee’s original company Elkins Physical Therapy Service, establishing a different quality of physical therapy since 1991. With clinics in Belington, Elkins, Valley Bend, and Parsons; the focus of the physical therapy remains on quality patient care and service.

Introducing Ann Wendel PT, AT(Ret), CMTPT

Ann Wendel is a physical therapist and retired athletic trainer, and a writer and consultant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education studies, with a concentration in athletic training from the University of Delaware, and a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She began her career working with high school, college, and professional athletes, and later went to work at an area hospital treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions. She has completed intensive training as a Thai yoga therapist. Wendel also completed 300 hours of Pilates’ teacher training. Formerly, she owned and operated a private practice in Alexandria, Virginia, Prana Physical Therapy, combining yoga, Thai massage, physical therapy, and Pilates. She is a certified myofascial trigger point therapist and treats patients using trigger point dry needling. Most recently she worked as a clinic director for a hospital-based outpatient clinic for 7 years and continued her consulting and media work through Prana Physical Therapy. Ann specializes in Women’s Health, including internal pelvic physical therapy. She has served on the editorial board of Impact, the monthly magazine of APTA’s Private Practice Section, and as an advisory board member of Girls Gone Strong. Her work has been published in various print and online publications. Ann recently moved to Tucker County, WV to take a position as Clinic Director with Elkins Physical Therapy Service in Parsons, and she is directing EPTS Women’s Health in Elkins.

COVID-19 Precautions at Elkins Physical Therapy Service
All EPTS clinics are open, with normal schedules.
All EPTS locations have returned to full business operations. We practice diligent precaution while the COVID-19 threat remains. Our clinic environments are meticulously cleaned between patients with antiviral disinfectants and we require all staff and clients to remain masked on premises. Our providers have been vaccinated. Our services are distanced and comfortable. We understand that certain health factors necessitate therapy without a mask and are able make special accommodations. We require all present clients and staff must attest to being in good health and have not come into contact with anyone with symptoms of or have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Phone and Internet based PT are available.
Alternative physical therapy programs are available virtually. This is a cash based service, while insurance companies are reluctant to cover services for physical therapy that are not face to face. Please contact your provider or the clinic for details.
The Wellness Center in Elkins is Open!
Wellness center access in the Elkins clinic is operating on a normal schedule and 24-7 access memberships are again available. We ask all participants to respect distancing from others and facemask use is required in the facility until further notice.
